They talk about how someone can atone for their sins by offering two doves or two pigeons... so what do the pigeons symbolize?

I believe the two doves symbolize keeping the metaphorical interpretation of the commandments in deuteronomy

not sure about the pigeons?

Punishment, struggle, and affliciton for breaking the commandments in deuteronomy?
