In Photoshop CS3 how record my brush selection history?

I know how to manually add brushes to the history palette that I use while painting in Photoshop in the brush history window. But is there a way to get the program Photoshop to record what brushes I have used while making a painting so I dont have to manually save each brush individually while painting?
