In motorcycle racing--what's more important, a good line or a consistent lean angle?

Road racing instructor Keith Code says to turn in once, and turn in as quickly as possible (depending on the needs of the turn).

But I wonder if staying on "the racing line" is more important to fast lap times.

What do you think?
