In Microsoft word 2007 I have to create business cards using mail merge with

an access database? my computer keeps bringing up a language selection box for the access database and everything is symbols instead of english. What can I do because I removed and re-downloaded the programs and the database is from a cd which came for my computer class. It can only be done in 2007 and the files are designed for it so all help is needed
