they wear red, blue, and orange jumpsuits in jail i was wondering what they meant. does it say what type of crime they have commited or how long they have been there or something?
In the one here they simply mean where they are housed maybe if i had to guess they could also mean the inmate threat level to officer. hope this helped.
I work at at county jail and the colors mean sentenced (orange) and un-sentenced (blue). We also have colors for trustee's like kitchen(white), laundry and hall (green) and recap (tan).....every jail is different so it all depends.
