In Honor of the Transformers Movie: Which was your fave TF series?

Ironic, cause most people like the show because of the characters. This was a really well written, character driven show. I know a lot of non TF fans thank Beast Wars for getting them interested in Transformers.

BW is the Nest Generation to G1's Star Trek.
 
Now that you put it that way, I dislike Beast Wars a whole lot more.

What I remember about it is more along the lines of what KTM said.

The dialogue was overly terrible, I remember. Considering this was when I didn't care about dialogue or anything like that, that should tell you something.
 
Funny, I think the same thing about Cybertron/Galaxy Force. Too many people are distracted by GONZO's animation. But if you get rid of that you'll only have a glorified, intergaltic scavenger hunt with character traits that originated from Beast Wars. I prefer Beast Wars because it has a entertaining storyline without some cheap gimmick. Plus, how can you hate a show that actually had the guts to KILL off a main character(the clone doesn't count). In the Unicron trilogy, what gets killed off ends up being rebuilt into a new body to sell toys. Which afterall is why the cartoons existed anyway.
 
Funny how I find myself disagreeing with Kuwabara's opinions all the time :p

What made Beast Wars what it is is that due to the limit in the technology at the time they only had a VERY limited cast of characters and limited locations they could use. To counter that they had to work on the characters themselves.

I don't see how it had bad dialog... it was pretty neat most of the time. I wish I could find the DVDs for season 2 and 3... can't find them anywhere.

Beside I don't have the budget right now -.- maybe later.

I really regret buying G1 season 2 part 1 instead of jumping straight to Beast Wars. Season 1 (received as a gift) was already plenty dissapointing...
