In gym class I get so out of breath really fast when we do laps.?

We have to run laps around the gym and then walk then run then walk, I admit i am out of shape. I don't normally run or do cardio. I have gym right after lunch, so sometimes i get cramps/ stitches in my stomach. How can i stop this and also how can i control myself from losing my breath
