I cannot use alcohol in my cooking, when seeing a dish in which the gravy was made using stout i need to find an alternative, any help or suggestions will be appreciated.
Try coffee, especially if it is a beef dish. There is a little acidity and bitterness to coffee that will compensate for the hops. Taste, and add a little sugar close to the end of cooking if necessary because you didn't get the natural sugars in stout.
