If someone took photographs off a photographers website and claimed it as their own in attempt to get business but wasn't directly selling the pictures or made any money at all in their ventures, what is the likely penalty? What if the owner told the person to remove the photographs from a web site and seize usage and the person complied with no hesitation? This is in Canada, btw. Is there jail time? A fine? Both?
