in basic training for army, do u get to go home for holiday?

yes it is called exodus and it is for about 1 week you get to come home. You will need to buy your own tickets and remember you go in the hole for leave so after training you wont have much leave to take if any at all. I suggest you tough it out so after AIT you can lake leave to get your things and family if you have one.

Dec 19th thru jan 2nd.christmas exodus. If you are in AIT during a holiday depending on what phase you are in, you may or may not get the four day weekend. After AIT some soldiers will do some home twon recruiting with their recruiter before going to their first unit for two weeks.

Well, you get to sing happy birthday to Jesus. That's a 30 second break in the morning where you won't be PTing or marching. I suppose that's a vacation...

No. Only Christmas, and it use to be three days.

you use your own leave time, and you will pay for your airfare...

the army does not pay for it..
