In an effort to combat the drink culture, should the age limit be raised to 21?

I do agree with the first answer - it is a British disease. It will only change when people decide they want to live differently.

Young people need more activities to keep them occupied. In other countries you have more accessible outdoor entertainment (hiking, skiing, white water rafting, rock climbing, ... ) All of these activities in Britain are indoors and expensive. So regular youth can't afford or don't have access to these.

Also because of the weather, things like skateboarding and roller blading are not that big - although they should be!

Football is pretty much the best thing Britain's youth have going for them. It doesn't cost as much as other sports to get into an organised league. Other than that though, the outlook for British youth and binge drinking is a pretty grim.

Age limit should be raised tand would go some way hopefully to curb adolescent abuse of alchohol
Believe it is 21 in the States!

This is one way of tackling it as "There has also been concern that young people are starting to drink at an earlier age and are drinking more."
Modifying behaviour and long term planning is the way forward.

age is not the factor I think so But why get into the drinking culture. These days plenty of good juices etc are available make them yur drink & be less tensed
