without getting arrested? I was happy that the rapist bastard was killed by an icicle and all, but I really wish the cops had at least found him and put him in jail. Can't have everything, right? And he did deserve death and a trip to hell.
What I don't understand either is that Sebold herself was raped when she was 18, and her rapist was caught and put in jail. You can read about that in her memoir, Lucky. So why would she have a different outcome in The Lovely Bones?
