(monotonous patterns, the object? In aesthetics of art, for some people there is something about being 2nd-rate (monotonous patterns, the object being old [like antiques], or the object being inferior to its peers, etc. any 2nd-rate aspect about the any object) that makes it more beautiful. For some there is an addictive quality about it. What makes it so addictive?
