im getting a verizon smart phone sometime this week and i'm not very tech-savvy so im a little confused. in the moto q, one of my two options, the way you get on the internet is data, right? which costs money for every minute you use it. however, in the samsung i760, it says there is wi-fi. so does that mean it will connect to whatever internet connection there is anywhere i am? and will that cost money?

ok before they sell you a smart phone they pretty much insist that you get a data package. you are not charged by minutes on it, you are charged by sites, even going back and forth on sites. if you have a data package it will not use up your minutes, it will come off your data...just like a picture message does. i'm not sure how the whole wifi thing works as i have always had a data package, so that is one to discuss with the sales rep. that is what they are there for..to explain your options in detail.
