I was in an accident today, hit broadside by a cadillac going at very low speed. I made it home ok even though the alignment seems off....but after I got home, tried to start the car again, it started and cut off. Started again and cut off. Finally got it started and it seems to be loosing fuel pressure and have to work at keeping it from stalling. A mechanic took a quick look and believes it is a fuel pump. Could a minor impact cause a fuel pump to fail like this?
In a 2005 Dodge Neon, can a relatively low impact collision cause damage to a fuel pump?
