As, I said in a previous question, I want to get more serious about photography. I plan on taking some classes in college (this fall) and I've taken a few at my high school. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any projects I could work on alone to kind of experiment and learn on my own, I've heard of the 365 project and others like it, I'm just looking for ideas. Thanks

as to projects, if something really inspires you, try making a photo set about it :] like right now i'm currently thinking about making a set about lighting, and i want to do a photoshoot with some of my friends about music, things like that. and if you want to do a 365, make sure your going to have time, i tried to start one but i didn't even last the first month because i simply do not have enough time every day to go take photos ,edit them, and post them to my flickr...if you have the time to do it, its a wonderful goal to achieve, but if you dont, you might find yourself falling behind, and it becomes more of a chore than anything else [thats what happened to me.] just experiment with your creativity and see what you can come up with :]

I agree with the other answer (be creative). Carry a camera with you at all times, be on the lookout for things, however simple, which, when framed by a camera's lens, makes it standout as art. It could be anything, from a macro photo of the dew on a flower, an old, stray boot discarded and left beside a garbage can. A person sitting on a bench, with the sun/shadows working perfectly to frame him/her. The more photos you take, the more you learn, and the more you experiment. Ultimately, you have to see the photo before you take it, and that, in my opinion, makes a great photographer.
