I'm thinking about getting a mazda rx8 but i hear the low end torque isnt so great, so what are some things i can do about that?
and how much would it cost

Well, I think those engines are different, like rotary or something.
No guarantees, but first get a newer intake, one that's not stuffed in a box, in a small corner. Then replace and get a after market exhaust. Should sound nice too. Intake is about $150-$250, and exhuast is about $200-$1000. Good luck; nice looking cars.
