Impressed!

I had to make my first call to T-mobile customer service yesterday (on a weekend no less). I'd been trying to get the "voice barred" portion of my plan taken off so I could use the phone for calls if I wanted to. The automated system was actually not too bad or long-winded. When it said "all representatives are busy helping other customers" I thought "great...long wait on hold". But surprisingly I had a live person helping me in less than a minute! She then had to transfer me to the Blackberry techs and I got the same "all busy" and once again had a person on the line in less than 30 seconds this time. The BB tech then fixed everything, added $10 worth of minutes for me to use, and even explained the "conditional forwarding" that is on my plan...cool little feature that I had no idea I had! When I told her the salesman didn't mention anything about it, she said that wasn't unusual. She was very friendly, knew what she was doing, and even asked how the weekend was going, etc. I almost started to wonder if I was actually talking to tech support! Normally you can hear them flipping to the right page in their little "You-stupid-me-god" book at alot of support numbers.

I was just so impressed with their customer service that I had to give them a thumbs up!

~via BB Curv (wap.rabroad.com)~ That's awesome! I wish AT&T was that easy. I work in IT support and it great to hear when someone is actually helpful. Doing it for a living I have spoken with a lot of ungrateful people.

Yes, the customer service at TMo is pretty good. They are available 24/7 and so far have always been helpful for me whenever I call. It is the one of the things that keep me their as I think about switching to Cingular (yes, now the new AT&T!!! I got, dammit!!!! ugh) for the Curve and the iPhone. That and I've been with them forever and like getting free sh*t when I complain. LOL

I had T-Mobile when I lived in the SLC area several years ago. I LOOOOOVED them, and their customer support. And, though I do get somewhat of a signal down here (SE New Mexico,) the service isn't quite good enough to use them. Maybe one of these days. I've used most all of the carriers out there, and T-Mobile's customer service wins hands down.

T-mo customer support rocks!!! I have been with them for almost 4 years now and they have even been known to help me with support on phones that they don't offer (i.e. when I buy another unlocked phone off of ebay and pop in my sim card). Nice way to get a new phone w/o renewing my contract

Talk about GREAT customer service:
I have been with TMO since 2003. I got my Pearl about a week ago and it would not stay on any network for long. I had to continuously turn my radio off/on to get it to pick back up. I called customer service. Turns out it was because my SIM card was 4 years old. TMO claimes they have upgraded the SIM cards to work on thier new, faster network. I went to my local TMO store (Actual TMO store, not "authorized dealer") and they gave me a new SIM card for free. They instantly assigned my phone# and all of my contacts, etc. to the new card. It only took about 5 minutes and it seems to have fixed the problem! Customer service even told me that if my TMO store made me pay for a new SIM, I could call back and they would credit my account for the full purchase price!
