Impractical cinema doors...

Aarrggh,

Just come back from my local Odeon. Why do the doors leading into the actual Screen rooms open out the way.
I go in buy my ticket and go to load up with munchies for the film. I buy the nacho deal. Nachos with melted cheese and a large coke and decide to get a small box of popcorn as well. I then go to my screen and find that the doors open out the way.
Whilst struggling to juggle my food and pull open the handle of the door guess what happens?? Someone pushes open the door from the inside hitting me, causing me to end up covered in popcorn, nachos, coke and melted cheese......aarrggghhhhh.
Still the film was good :-p
 
Well at least you enjoyed the film lol!

It's the same at my Odeon as well. It would be much easier if you could just push the doors if you have your hanRAB full.
 
The Fire Regulations state that doors have to open outwarRAB from the interior, so that if an auditorium is smoke-filled and visibility is reduced, you can get out of doors simply by pushing rather than fumbling around to open them.

We have magnets on most new-builRAB that keep the doors open until the film starts, sadly it's costly to retrofit older sites with them.
 
Why on earth do you need all that food for a two hour cinema visit?? Its a vsist to a cinema not a meal in a restaurant!!! I refuse to pay their rediculous prices. I suspect this Nacho deal is still a rip off.

Without wanting to sound rude to the OP, but good, at last all us suffers of slurping and wrapper unwrapping prayers have been answered, maybe there is a God and he works through the medium of cinema doors?. Hallelujah..touch the screen :D

I cant stand food in cinemas, saying that it all depenRAB what kind of film it is.
 
Lol, I know what you mean about noisy eaters in the cinema. I am a closet cinema muncher. Part of the cinema experience for me is the rancid overpriced food :-p

Although I am normally very paranoid during the film in case I am making too much noise and only try to rustle my wrappers or crunch my food during the noisy parts of the film. :p

It's the slow sweet unwrappers that try to be quiet that are the worst..the noise isn't quieter it just goes on for longer.. and longer as I found out during 'Shindlers List' :mad: :D :D

Wow, this sounRAB like a good cinema!

Did they not harass you or make you feel like an idiot for not buying a super-super-kingsize-mega-deal?
