Immortal dogs in films

Wow...sick much? lol Your username says alot though to be fair :D
Didnt that dog die in that other will smith film, i forget its name, I am Legend or something? Never saw it but it was a really big deal that the dog died and people wouldnt shut up about it?
The other obvious example is Marley and Me.
Dogs don't die in movies for a good reason. Its too personal, you know?

I watched I Am Legend and didn't think much of it. I was so annoyed with the god-awful CGI used for the wild beasts in New York (i.e. the lions), the 'devestation' which was just drawn on over existing buildings and of course the creatures themselves, I forgot about his dog. I was too bored to care by then - I Am Legend was just a cheap and slightly more explosive 28 Days Later rip-off.

Old Glen Close kind of lost her sense of evil - she went from being able to break in and boil a bunny to not being able to skin a single dalmation!

I seem to recall a dog getting thoroughly flattened in the original Battlestar Galatica TV movie. This paved the way for the strange robot bear thing, Dagget.

It's cats that always seem to make it to the end credits alive. :(

He was originally, then they showed the film to a test audience. They thought the dog should die at the end, so die he did.

How heartless were that audience?
