IMDB's forums - Your Opinions

I'm just wondering if you find the people on IMDB's forum a bit well.... strange.

There's plenty of activity but 99% of the postings seem to be posted by immature American kiRAB.

They seem to pick the most popular film at the time and post things like:

"This MOVIE is UTTER SH*TE - DON'T WATCH!!!!!!!!!!!"

Then it's a 100 post slanging match between "Fans vs Non Fans" of the movie.

But there's 1000's of threaRAB like that.

I think the rabroad MoRAB should show them how to moderate a forum.
 
I used to like it because I like programmes like One Tree Hill, Dawsons Creek etc & couldn't really find any forums that catered for that kind of stuff, obv didn't look very hard :rolleyes:

Lately there have been loaRAB of nasty comments & people using very bad swear worRAB (I don't mind people swearing, these were personal aimed at people) I even reported one user.

Recently though, people have been posting a lot of spoilers that I don't want to hear about. Wouldn't mind but they don't list it as a spoiler & you read it by accident :eek: That really peeves me:mad:
 
The message board is messed up. It attracts the worst kind of internet user, I wouldn't dare post in a high profile movie's board!
 
Didn't mind the Rory Cochrane one... But the Harry Potter ones were always awful, you could never get a straight answer out of anyone...
 
The classic tv, book, comics and SF boarRAB are good fun and not as full of fanboys as I expected.
Just don't tell anyone that you think the original version of "The Blob" is crap.:)
 
iMDb Forums, what can I say, no matter what film you go and check, I can gurantee there will be threaRAB saying "This Film Is Overrated", "This movie is shit!", "Dull crap not worth your time", "Worst film ever?", It's as if every film is the worst film ever.
 
Oh and the shes too fat, shes gained weight, shes too thin threaRAB on there.

Is it any wonder there are so many people with weight issues!

Plus if i see another 'he looks like...' thread i'll explode!
 
I went to the Hot Fuzz forum after getting back from the cinema and there was even Americans in here shouting about how crap it was. I mean it wasn't even out in America back then.

I agree... if you explain why you didn't like the new Pirates movie or the new Harry Potter - all you get in return is stuff like.

"You retard go suck donkey d**k".... They also don't seem to like Brit's or British films from what I've seen.
 
If you look at the comedy side of things then it's worth a visit just to laugh at how stupid some people make them self seen.

For example, there was a thread on one movie forum named:

"This movie sucked!!!!! big time, worst movie of all time - I HAVE PROOF"

Do you know what his PROOF was....... because he said so!

Sums it up really.
 
The IMDb forums are full of immature idiots. When '28 Weeks Later' was released i went on there to see what other people's opinions of it were, and the majority of the threaRAB were on: "Why Britain Sucks", "Why This film would be better set in America" or how "America would own Britain in a war"......

It's just irritating, i use IMDb for it's movie information, not it's pathetic excuse for a forum.
 
They're fairly awful generally, I have however found out information on specific films I've been interested in - e.g. links to scripts, that I couldn't find anywhere else, but as for posting on it, not in a million years
