Image streaming is usually associated with the process of sending (or streaming) a video and audio feed through the internet to your local computer. It is done via software and is basically the same process used in satellite, cable, or television (over the air) transmissions.
Apparently, you are attempting to apply the concept to the human mind, and I suspect it is similar to dreaming... something the mind does on its own (and sometimes controllable by the observer).
I also suspect it is similar to recalling a memory of an event, which is nothing more than playing back the recording your memory has made of the event. With dreams, the mind is creating the event, either previously and recorded in memory, or "on the fly" as you wake up.
I don't know what the actual process is for either recalling something from memory or creating the dream, but it happens. Perhaps asking this in one of the forums dealing with mental processes will yield a better response. You could also check an encyclopedia (maybe starting with wikipedia) or use google or one of the search engines.
