Im writing a report on a building im designing for a school project.?

The section im working on is the exterior part of the building. Im trying to find websites or resources that give me information about different products/building materials/windows/roofs or anything else that deals with the exterior. My problem is all I can find is company websites that sell those products, not information on them that I can write a report with.
