but I am having trouble explaining things real good. Any ideas on a good method that would help me explain things (like how a person acts, looks, or the scene) in more detail?
 
just remember to "show" not "tell".

don't tell us a person is nice-show us.
you know?

the best advice i've ever heard is to just keep writing, don't over think things, and just write the way you speak. everything will flow better. you can go back and edit things, tie up loose ends, add a bit more detail. just write write write .
