I'm using the same media and player but new computer burns at 40x and disks are

very very slow playing.? My old computer had a 52x 24x52x plexwriter internal cd-rw that I installed. I burned my cd-r's using Taiyo Yuden and played them in my professional player. The pick up ( recognizing and time between each song selected was right away> Now I had to get a new computer, it has a sony 40x multi media drive installed. When I burn a cd-r at 40x which is the max speed, it takes almost 28 seconds before it is recognized, and then if I select say track 5 it takes another 28 or more seconds before it plays, and the same for any track I select. This is crucial as I have a DJ business and the track need to play very quickly. I have tried every burn speed on this new drive 40x, 32x, 24x and 16x with the same slow pickup . I tried a different brand of cd-r that was labeled 40x it also made no difference. Why do my 52x , Taiyo Yuden disks burned with plexwriter(52x) play in my professional player that I have been using for years and and always have, and yet the disks ( cd-r) burned with the new burner, in new computer , but same Taiyo Yuden 52x cd-r don't work well and neither do they work well with 40x Memorex disk cd-r.

I'm thinking of getting and IDE converter and using old plexwriter just to burn audio cd-r.
Any Ideas.
