im trying to remove a camshaft sensor on a 94 4.0 ford explorer with out breaking it. i have broke 2 at a pull it your self junk yards so far. does anyone know the trick to this? thank you for any help.
i just wiggled mine out of my 93 ranger gently. same engine, same location, back of block, hard to reach. my sensor is fine, the o-ring wore out and leaked oil into my tranny & gummed up the clutch disc.
fun!
But I just gently wiggled it back & forth and ever so slightly pulled upwards and it came out.
