...website I could go to for this? Hi I just got a jeep Cherokee 1986 V6 4.0 liter and I was wondering if anyone could either give me a website or tell me how the performance is on this rig.

when I say power I don't mean like a big beast or anything.

I mean if I was to take it off roadin' down to like a motocross track that's muddy or something will it perform ok?

And say I wanna pass a car on a open road say the speed limit is 65 but I wanted to pass the person in a timely manner will it have the performance to do so?

I know it's not a race car or anything.

Also does anyone know any MAJOR problem with this series or vehicle?

Or

any tips on how to take care of it?

there's two problems with it

1. Fuel pump
2. I need to replace the rings

other than that please help!

a 4L jeep motor is an inline 6 not a V6 , if you have a V6 it is not a 4L. the 4L is an amazing motor , lots of torque and good hot rod potential , if it needs rings don't bother , go to a wrecker and get any jeep inline 6 that has low miles and good compression and swap. that way you can put a header on when the engine bay is empty and clean up the motor and engine bay a bit at the same time . you should also be able to get a chip and cold air kit. search for Clifford Reasearch , their motto is 6=8 , they will know what to do . your fuel pump is in the tank so get the new one and run it dry where you are going to do it , if you take it to a shop have the tank as low as you dare. good luck , have fun , be safe .
