I'm trying to bring a bigger crowd to my sports bar What are some things

that bring you to your favorite place? I'm moving to Charleston, SC to manage a large sports bar that has done no advertising or marketing in the past. The lunch is good but the night crowd is so dead because the old owners were in their 70's. What are some things you like to see when you go to a sports bar?
 
Me and my friends go to a bar that has this really good bartender that is VERY good at keeping ppl from getting way to drunk, so everyone has a good time but we don't have to worry about drunks. It also has the obvious, good music (a mix of new, old classic to make us feel older than we are, and some songs that haven't hit main stream but sound good :D
 
games...i went to an irish pub that they started a dating game with all the patrons at the bar. it wasn't a serious dating game. it was all for the sake of comedy. it was too much fun and i never forgot that place. plus, the food was better than average and they had an awesome beer collection.
 
Good drink and food specials. Especially in this economy, that's the only time I go out to eat is when it's worth it. Create a friendly atmosphere, good music, pool tables, sports games on big screen tv's.
I'll tell you though, the number one thing that keeps me returning to the sports bar I frequent, the staff is always friendly.
 
Enough t.v. sets strategically placed where any seat in the house has a good view. Happy hours with good snack food like popcorn, chicken wings, vegetables with dressing, cheese and crackers, pot stickers, rumaki, stuff like that.

Good food. I mean REALLY good food. If its good they will eat it...and pay for it. Specialize in something. Like really juicy, messy great tasting hamburgers with mushrooms or chili peppers or cheese or whatever you can create.

Interesting deserts. this will keep people around. the longer they stay the more opportunity for them to keep buying.
Get cable or a satelite dish so you can have sports showing no matter what time it is. Offer specials on a regular basis, maybe even a different special per night. Keep it all classy. You want waitresses that will be easy to get along with, easy to look at. But most importantly class acts. Good luck!

have superb food and cheap booze good help and big game specials. should do the trick
