im thinking of getting 2 rockford fosgate P2D412's is this a good choice?

they are 250 rms apiece this is much less than the pioneer sub that i wanted that had 400 rms apiece. i have been told rockford fosgate makes good stuff but will this hit hard enough in my car? its a little 1997 bmw convertable. i will get an amp that will power them well.
