I'm stationed in Oklahoma, new car help?

i just bought a new car here in oklahoma. but my state of residence/domicile on my PIPS is Texas. should i register the car in texas or here in oklahoma. i've heard that if you domicile somewhere its a good idea to get your plates there as a sort of proof that you plan to go there after you're military contract's up. thanks in advance for the help
