:SBut, do you a majority of you really think that homosexuality is just about... well... sex? Everything I've been reading lately on here is about that. What about falling in love? You guys don't think we do that? I fell in love with my best friend. We never ever had an sexual attraction coming up to that point. Even after... it wasn't all about sex. So... as the bible condemns and whatnot... is it only bad if it's all about lust? Or does it just saying that the love in general is wrong?I would've branched this off of my other question but I'm sure that's off the page by now.To whom ever though I was wasting my time; you're wasting yours. I'm trying to understand things despite the fact I'm giving so much of my opinion. I need to know if I have to fully give up on my raised faith.Pantheist- I'm just trying to see opinions. Oddly, I don't care much for the LGBT section or being accepted; people will think what they think. XDNo we're still together. It's been over a year since we knew we were in love with one another. It's clear to both of us, as we've discussed it, that we're soul mates. It's never going to break off. (:Curiously, curious- :DDD

if you need a place where you will be accepted and supported - I suggest you the LGBT section .convincing christians you're innocent is useless here , they are in denial /

I didn't think it was only about sex... i'm not stupid like 'margarette' and some of the vocal minority

Well, the bible itself focuses on the physical act of sex, but most of the interpretations by the evangelical movement encompass all same-sex relationships which are at all sexual in nature, they don't just condemn the act of sex, but the concept that you could have any sort of romantic relationship with someone of the same gender. The passages in the bible that mention homosexuality at all are quite limited, there are one or two in leviticus, and some text in Romans, but certainly nothing like a comprehensive outline, it's all interpretation.

God never rejects love for it's own sake, no matter who it is between. I believe it is the act of homosexual sex itself that is condemned.

You are free. Other peoples opinions are just that. It is especially more noticeable here because many have been highly conditioned to be fearful. Be happy that you are free and disregard the ones who never will be.

Of course, it would have been worse if you got into sex but even so it might be judged as an inordinate relationship. But you have broken off the relationship now?

Sexual Perversions—Past and PresentAs Bible students, we know what happened in ancient Sodom—how the sex-mad men and young boys of the city demanded to have relations with those whom they viewed merely as Lot’s male house guests. (Genesis 19:4-11):4 Before they could lie down, the men of the city, the men of Sod′om, surrounded the house, from boy to old man, all the people in one mob. 5 And they kept calling out to Lot and saying to him: “Where are the men who came in to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may have intercourse with them.”6 Finally Lot went out to them to the entrance, but he shut the door behind him. 7 Then he said: “Please, my brothers, do not act badly. 8 Please, here I have two daughters who have never had intercourse with a man. Please, let me bring them out to YOU. Then do to them as is good in YOUR eyes. Only to these men do not do a thing, because that is why they have come under the shadow of my roof.” 9 At this they said: “Stand back there!” And they added: “This lone man came here to reside as an alien and yet he would actually play the judge. Now we are going to do worse to you than to them.” And they came pressing heavily in on the man, on Lot, and were getting near to break in the door. 10 So the men thrust out their hands and brought Lot in to them, into the house, and they shut the door. 11 But they struck with blindness the men who were at the entrance of the house, from the least to the greatest, so that they were wearing themselves out trying to find the entrance.------------------------This event took place only about 450 years after the Flood. In those early times it also became common for humans to have sexual relations with animals. Thus, some 400 years later, in four different places, God’s Law to the nation of Israel condemned this practice, with death being the penalty for violators. (Exodus 22:19:Anyone lying down with a beast is positively to be put to death.Leviticus 18:23; 20:15, 16:“‘And you must not give your emission to any beast to become unclean by it, and a woman should not stand before a beast to have connection with it. It is a violation of what is natural. “‘And where a man gives his seminal emission to a beast, he should be put to death without fail, and YOU should kill the beast. 16 And where a woman approaches any beast to have a connection with it, you must kill the woman and the beast. They should be put to death without fail. Their own blood is upon them.---------------------------Deuteronomy 27:21:“‘Cursed is the one who lies down with any beast.’ (And all the people must say, ‘Amen!’Leviticus 18:22:“‘And you must not lie down with a male the same as you lie down with a woman. It is a detestable thing."Leviticus 20:13:“‘And when a man lies down with a male the same as one lies down with a woman, both of them have done a detestable thing. They should be put to death without fail. Their own blood is upon them."In addition, God’s Law to Israel made sexual relations with persons of one’s own sex a capital offense—violators being sentenced to death.Nevertheless, in the centuries that followed, the peoples living round about the Israelites were so deeply involved in homosexual practices that the Israelites themselves time and again became involved in homosexuality. (1 Kings 14:24:And even the male temple prostitute proved to be in the land. They acted according to all the detestable things of the nations whom Jehovah had driven out from before the sons of Israel.Kings 15:12:Accordingly he had the male temple prostitutes pass out of the land and removed all the dungy idols that his forefathers had made. Kings 22:46: And the rest of the male temple prostitutes that had been left over in the days of A′sa his father he cleared out from the land.On one occasion a Levite was a houseguest in the Benjamite city of Gibeah, and the men of the city surrounded the house shouting: “Bring out the man who came into your house, that we may have intercourse with him.” Judges 19:22: While they were making their hearts feel good, look! the men of the city, mere good-for-nothing men, surrounded the house, shoving one another against the door; and they kept saying to the old man, the owner of the house: “Bring out the man that came into your house, that we may have intercourse with him.Practically the whole tribe of Benjamin was wiped out at Jehovah’s direction because of this matter.1 Corinthians 6: 9 - 11:What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom. And yet that is what some of you were. It is not clean by God, homosexuality, and always leads to negative results [in anything].

On any place in the holy Bible said the the sexual relationship is bad. what is bad is having sex with somebody that is not your wife. Remember that God is love and sex is part of the love that you show to another person but this love have to be inside the marriage you are not suppose to make love with every woman that you think you are in love. That the point of view of the Bible but we don't rule like that and that's why we are so lost it.

There is nothing in the Bible that says a man cannot love another man, or a woman cannot love another woman. The passages most use to condemn homosexuality seem to refer to behavior, not orientation. And those passages are not even clear.Do not give up your faith based on other's hateful, judgmental attitudes or interpretations of the Bible.

I believe you guys can just fall in love . I have known some really nice people and they have been homosexuals. I can believe that you can just be friends as well. I believe you did not choose to be who you are. That it just happened that way. I also know that Jesus loves you just as he loves everyone else. May God bless you love Jan

First of all, you are a child of god. He does not condemn you, or even shun you or any other like you. Remember, Jesus knows 100 percent EXACTLY how you feel! He understands whether it be confusion, passion, agony or joy. He knows because he suffered "all things." not just for our sins. He knows you and your circumstance personally. He understands that some people due to a mix of their natural strengths and weakneses and there up-bringing and circumstance, that they might feel for someone of their own sex. He knows, but still says that this is wrong and like a temptation for something like any sin whether it be theft or adultery. You resist the temptation to the ABSOLUTE BEST of your ability, and due to jesus' sacrifice he can cover the rest. If you just try to resist those urges, you CAN go through life with a normal heterosexual relationship, and you will be rewarded for your perserverence, nobility and faith in God when you sit before Jesus, your big brother who wants to extend the most mercy possible to you, at the judgement seat. If you try to the best of your ability he WILL make up the difference. But, whatever happens just know that God does love you and know you personally and always will, and as a brother of mine I only wish the best for you and give much love and respect.

Ok, well the thing is that homosexuality is a sin, just as lying or robbing is. The Bible also makes it clear that you can NOT live in continual sin and be a Christian because a Christian has been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and is a new person (Ezekiel 36:25-18, All of 1 John, Hebrews 10:26-31, 2 Corinthians 5:7, etc.) People have a problem with hypocritical Christians, but the thing is that hypocritical Christians aren't Christians! If it doesn't quack like a duck, fly like a duck, or look like a duck, it's not a duck! Does this mean that Christians wont sin or wont have sins that are present for a while in their lives? No, but rather as a style of life, the Christian will be continually repenting of sin and looking to God. You mess up and sin, then you look at the grace of Christ and glory of Christ and you repent adn you go on and sometimes it's a muddy hard path to get out of sins, but the mark of a true Christian is that they have victory over sins. And also, it's less about I haven't done anything physically wrong and more, where's your heart at? Do you follow God's Word or try to find-loop holes around it. Are you struggling with the sin? Are you becoming holier and holier? Are you growing in your walk with the Lord and becoming more and more focused on Him and pleasing Him? Have you repented of your sins? If not there's reason to question whether or not you are truly saved.

We are not being judged on the outcome of things, we are being judged on our choices. This means that at the core of everything will always be our intentions. Whatever we intended, is what we will have the reward for. Each person will be judged according to what Allah gave them to work with, how they used it and what they intended to do with it.As regards the actual "Judgment Day" - Allah tells us that everything we are doing is being recorded and not a single tiny thing escapes from this record. Even an atom's weight of good will be seen on the Day of Judgment and even a single atom's weight of evil will be seen too. On That Day (of judgment) mankind will proceed in scattered groups and they will be shown their deeds. So whoever does good equal to the weight of an atom, shall see it. And whoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom, shall see it. [Noble Quran 99:6-8] The one who will bring the evidences against us will be ourselves. Our ears, tongue, eyes and all of our bodies will begin to testify against us in front of Allah on the Day of Judgment. None will be oppressed on that Day, none will be falsely accused. He could have put everyone in their respective places from the very beginning, but the people would complain as to why they were thrown in Hell without being given a chance. This life is exactly that; a chance to prove to ourselves who we really are and what we would really do if we indeed had a free choice.Allah Knows everything that will happen, but we don't. That is why the test is fair.

Homosexuality is not a sin.Genesis 19:4-5; Leviticus 18:22 & 20:13; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9; 1 Timothy 1:9-10. None of these passages prohibits homosexual romantic relationships or prohibits same-sex marriage. Christians should note that none of these passages includes remarks of Jesus. They all refer to fornication. God is punishing straight people to lust after one another - Lust is not Love.No where in the bible does God or Jesus condemn love. Yes sex acts for the sake of sex acts are condemned. Sex within the confines of love are never mentioned - unless you want to read the Song of Solomon.
