I'm soon to be 18 and wondering how much its going to cost to get my own phone?

I already have a phone. Motorola Q9c Lime. Its Alltel but will also work on Verizon. So I'm wondering how much its going to cost me to get my own contract.
 
If you are keeping the phone, but just wanting the contract...I think it depends on how many minutes you want and what text/internet plan you go with. It might be worth it to get a new phone while opening a new contract.
 
It depends on where you go and whether or not you have credit, and if you do have credit, whether or not it's good. If you have bad credit, you may not be able to get a contract at all, or you'll have to pay something like $750 or more as a down payment. If you have no credit, which you probably don't if you're not 18 yet, then it will be less, but still could be really high - like $500 down payment. Of course, that's at a place like Wal-Mart. There are probably much better deals out there.
