I seriously am stressing and freaking out so much over this. I'm paranoid I'm going to have a heart attack. Not because panic attacks make me feel like I'm having one (haven't had THAT kind of an attack for awhile) *knock on wood* but because I get chest pains and other known heart attack symptoms. Like, arm pain, back pain (shoulder blades), jaw pain, elbo pain and today burning chest for a sudden moment..once. I know, I take every symptom I have as "OMGOSH what if it's a sign of heart attack?!". I worry over every ache and pain and instantly think heart attack. Couple months ago I did go ER because of chest pains, I got the "your normal", and something was slightly abnormal on ekg (yet they say it's normal to be abnormal?) and they told me it's PROBABLY reflux. Maybe, I am gassy (burp a lot) but tums, and prescription prilosec does not help the pains at all. Chest pains not as bad..now, but not 100% gone these days. Improved a bit after seeing a chiro. I don't know, I'm just constantly paranoid I'm going to have a heart attack and it really stresses me out on top of all my other stresses. Ugh. What do I do to overcome this dwelling feeling?

p.s. i know title is spelled wrong, dunno how to edit it...

Go to a bookstore and get an anxeity book, while you are there buy "you can be happy no matter what , " by carlson .

Anxeity is an evil disease , it can mimic heart attack symptoms .

Get your heart checked (for peace of mind )

Pray about it .

Exercise .

It seems everyone with anxeity is obsessed with pulse rate , heart attacks , ect .

The good news is you can get better .

Prayer was the answer for me .

When you are saved , dying loses all its fear .

I take 15 mg prevacid in the morning , it helps alot .

When i did get attacks ,i exercised , my doctor said " if you run 2 miles and are still alive ,its not your heart ".

Walk , or move around ,if you are having a true heart attack , you will not be able to do this .

Im not a professional , just experenced in this disease .
