I'm sick of the media and society telling us women how we should look, who agrees?

Lately (over the last few years) I've been feeling more and more self concious about myself, especially my body. I am getting really sick of it now. Today I just had a revelation and thought to myself, overall I have a good healthy curvy natural body, sure I have imperfections but so does everyone! I may want my thighs and butt smaller, I may want to be thinner, I may want to be a little taller etc... However I look fine, I get attention, I get compliments. Overall I have a nice figure, the way a woman should be. Women are genetically supposed to carry more fat and be smaller. I may get a stupid comment every now and then but hey they're just jealous and I'm sure they have insecurities themselves. I want to become more confident over my body as it really does effect your quality of life. What's the point in spending the rest of your young years feeling negative about yourself because you don't live up to certain expectations? It will effect your mood, your personality, your future, your love life, relationships etc. Also most men would agree numbers and sizes don't matter, if your confident you seem so much more attractive and natural is always best (unless their immature and no woman should be with a guy like that who makes you feel bad about your body). We're not supposed to be barbie dolls or super tall super skinny super models. When people that are already skinny and complain about things they don't have, it makes the women that actually do have those problems feel like they should be acting the same, it makes us feel a lot worse. It can lead to eating disorders, and I know this is my natural body I don't want to have an extreme diet or exercise regime to change it like so many girls do. There's way too much emphasis on size, it's a waste of life to worry about(unless your at a really unhealthy weight)!

Star this question if you agree. And how many other girls out there are gonna try hard to feel good and confident about yourselves? And ignore anything negative??
So your saying if you have fat, it means = your fat? If you have curves = your fat? How sad that you think that, your obviously very delusional. I think really toned tall atheletic looking women are not hot, sure some tone is good but it's not really womanly and feminine. I think a lot of people need to realize what women are supposed to look like. Most intelligent mature people know.
Oh and just to add I'm 120 pounds and 5'2, sick of society/media trying to make me believe I should be 90-100 pounds. 120 is a good healthy weight.
Can't you fools read?? I said aslong as your healthy it's fine, why do people assume I'm obese or something?

just make sure you don't look too fat or too sloppy
yes be a little meaty, but if you're obese
don't use what you said as an excuse for you not to change your ways (to become healthier)

yeah i agree. i have like a little fat on my stomach and i think i have fat thighs or whatever. and i always wanted to be skinny like those models out there with flat abs and perfect boobs and butt or whatever lol. but i like how i am. i don't wanna look like everyone else anymore.

so AMEN to what you said lol

i agree.
inside i feel "you know, maybe im not fat in reality?"
but then turn on the tv and say "...nvm i take that back...i have small boobs, have huge lovehandles, am too short, ect, ect, it never ends..

and im 106 and 5'3

with all due respect, you don't have to listen to what the media says. In life you shouldn't want to be perfect, our flaws are a part of who we are. True beauty is beyond mascara and body. To be honest, as a man of course guys look for girls that have sex appeal but in the end no man wants a girl who is artificial.

i disagree. put in some effort. it's just lazy when you try to convince yourself you look good when you're actually fat. and you call your fat curves. why not lose weight and look hot
