I'm seeing some spit like goo on my coneflowers and another kind of perennial...

...in my gardens. What is it? Its bubbley, gooey and white. Looks like foam. Coneflowers are heavily damaged.
Negative - not slime mold - I googled for pictures and that is not it. More info - two different types of plants - two different across the yard locations - one SE corner, very hot and dry one NW corner, more wet, semi-sun.
 
It's a slime mold. Looks wierd, but is harmless. You can just spray it off of your plants, or just wait---it will go away. Don't try to put anything on it.
