Im really scared to be on top during sex!?

whenever me and my boyfriend have sex, he always asks me to be on top but im too nervous to do that!! so i always tell him no and he hates it...he said it would be easier if i was on top. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO THOUGH!! whenever i try to imagine it, it doesnt seem like it would work right. I need more confidence. what do i do?!? somebody help please?? I want to be on top but im just not sure how to do it
