I kind of liked the story. The ending (without giving anything away) left you feeling "done" but not like you owned the city like in the other GTA games. I remember in GTA III, VC, and SA after you complete the main story you feel like you are the big swinging dick in the game. In IV you don't really feel that, at least I didn't.
