IM PREGNANT WHATS THE SUGAR TEST?

ok im 24 weeks pregnant and when i went to the doctor last time he said he was gonna do a sugar test and i have no idea what that is can anyone tell me what to expect
this is my first pregnancy
 
oh man i hated that one.
they make you drink this cup of orange drink. then they draw blood and see if you have diabetes

i know after i did that, i didnt feel my baby move like the rest of the day. i guess he was in sugar shock. so be prepared if that happens to u.
 
Its to test you for gestational diabieties which usually go away after giving birth. But you will have to either go to your doctors office of hospital and they will draw blood than test it. Than you will drink this drink and if its a three or four hour than you wil sit there for four or three hours and get your blood drawn every hour on the hour. I just had mine
 
they are going to test to see if you are a diabetic or at risk for it while you are pregnant it is nothing to worry about...just lay off some sugar haha
 
Why didn't you ask your doc to explain it to you? It's called a glucose test. I did mine yesterday. They will have you drink this really sugary drink (tastes like flat soda) about an hour before your appt. Then they draw your blood and test it to determine if you have gestational diabetes. The doc should tell you this but make sure the day that you take the test you don't eat anything sugary for breakfast, as that will raise your sugar levels even more.
