I live in montreal canada and im planning on buying an rx8. I read countless hours on how to properly maintain a rotary and im fine with checking oil, expensive premium gas, red lining the car (woot), warming up etc...
The problem is i found a 2004 RX8 with 79000km from a dealer. The salesperson showed me a report of all the maintenance done on the car. Catalytic converter almost brand new, new starter, new plugs, new coils and some other regular maintenance cleaning crap.
My question is: Lets say I buy this car with a lot of new parts which were known to be faulty in 2004 rx8's will I be avoiding problems in the future if I truly maintain the engine properly?
Another question: What if the owners before me had no Idea they had to put oil in the car? Am I basically buying a premature death for my engine?
