I'm Not There (The Bob Dylan biopic)

I'm Not There is biographical film reflecting the life of musician Bob Dylan. The iconic singer-songwriter will be depicted through six distinct stages of his life by six different actors (Marcus Carl Franklin, Ben Whishaw, Heath Ledger, Christian Bale, Richard Gere, and Cate Blanchett).

It's a bit weird to know that Cate Blanchett will play a man's role. But anyway, Hilary Swank already did that.
 
I'm a big fan of Bale, so this is a must see, especially since the other actors are all very talented too :)

I've seen a couple of pics from the set...um, am I the only one who thinks Bale is too gorgeous to play Dylan? :gone: :lol: The other ones really look the part though, especially Blanchett, as weird as it may seem.

Cate Blanchett to play the role of Bob Dylan is the coolest thing I've heard since John Travolta's portrayal as a mother in Hairspray. I wonder how will she carry the looks and the acting...

Oh, thanks. But I guess I can wait for few more months. I don't want 'rush films' as it might lack the depth that I am looking for in a movie.

jthorton17 Why? Not really the Bob Dylan type? I dunno anything about Bob Dylan, so maybe you can fill us in.
 
Late next year or early 2008 perhaps, since the filming's supposed to wrap up in a couple of months.
 
I dind't know about this. Cool stuff, love Bob Dylan and his music. Heath Ledger though?
 
With this star studded film, I'd lvoe to go to Canada. Although, I'm too far away and I don't have the dosh for a plane ticket. :lol:

I wonder when this film will be release? Anyone got an idea?
 
Everyone go to Canada when they start filming! :lol: And get some pictures maybe even meet some people on set! :D That would be cool wouldn't it?

Me too. I never really liked Bob Dylan, but I'll go and see it because of Heath. I trust his acting. :D

IThe movie's gist andall those news are rather vague. I wanna watch the film eagerly now because I have no idea how in th world they are going to do this film.

I never really like Bob Dylan's songs or anything so this will be the first time for me to actually watch something about him.
 
Ahh this one. :lol: I've never listened to Bob Dylan's work before, mainly because I'm not really into that genre of music.

But the movie sounds interesting. I'll have to wait for a trailer before making any judgments.

Oh, apparently, the actors aren't Bob Dylan. Rather, they're playing "various incarnations" of Dylan. More info from this article.

As for the people who want Bale and Ledger on screen together, look for them summer 2008 in The Dark Knight [the sequel to last year's Batman Begins]. :D
 
I have never agknowledged Bod Dylan.. nor have i ever listened to any of his songs. But I think I will see this movie just b/c Heath is in it. ;)
