I have not been feeling well for 2 weeks, went to the doctor,he said my throat was inflamed and gave me a shot and antibiotics, I started to feel better after a week, then I spent Sunday cleaning up the yard (quite large) On monday I felt terrible, sore throat, aches and I felt like I was congested and couldn't breathe right. Went back to the doctor,he said my throat wasn't swollen and my lungs are clear,he thought I might be nervous or having trouble with allergies. My question is, could there really be a problem or is it just me. I do react to the weather with terrible headaches and sinus problems, but this is now Friday and I'm still haveng the problem with the breathing. Could anxiety breathlessness last this long?? Please,if anyone has an answer or felt this way, please post it!!

I deal with this all the time about 6 months out of the year. I have terriable allergies and they make me feel rotten all over. That in turn brings on my anxiety. I would venture to say this is what you are dealing with. Sorry...I hope you can find some things to take to make you feel better.

I haven't taken anything for shortness of breath. I just try and take slow relaxation breaths. If you have to take xanax by all means do that. You have to relax your mind. I know that. Hang in there!

have you been tested for food allergies? i've been trying wheat/gluten free for a little over a month and have noticed a difference. My chiro and acupuncturist say that in a lot of people wheat/gluten creates mucous. In my neigrabroador boys, dairy is the culprit. I would try to eliminate one or the other for 4wks and see if that helps your system. Keep a journal of what you've eaten, temp/weather etc and what you have eaten all day
