Im not sure how to save files to MY BOOK extenernal drive, help?

i just got a my book external drive. essential edition 2.0. but i dont know how to save my files to it. i dont want all my files on it just certain ones. also on the veiw folders there are already folders their. do i just save it in its wn folder on the drive or one of the folders already there or is there something completly different i got to do???
 
Open the drive and create a new folder named whatever and drag and drop files into it. Dragging between two drives automatically copies, not cuts, so if you want it only on the external - cut and paste.
