Im looking to make my mazda 3 sp23 go a tad faster?

Not sure I want turbo kind of speeds but what could I do under the hood to make the car a little faster on the takeoff. its an auto.

under normal driving the auto starts in 2nd and can be sluggish pressing the kickdown will put it into first with better acceleration off the line

The most common thing would be Exhaust and Intake, Although that really wont add much more power maybe 10-15HP. Another thing you might consider is chipping it, you could probably get around 20HP out of a good chip......... or. Buy a manual. l
