...publish in a local paper.? Id like to be an accomplished author so im trying to publish an article in the local paper. Most people read that paper, I figure if I publish it in that paper well it will get me noticed. Im not looking for fame, just want to show the world my talent. Being a writer has always fascinated me, and it took me awhile to realize I had the talent for it. If I start out small in a local paper is there a chance I Could go far by doing it this way?
 
Stephen King's very first publication was a small-town weekly (or monthly, I forget) newsletter that he and his brother put out when they were kids.

Yes, indeed. Starting small can lead to big things.
