Im Looking into a Jeep Wrangler as a first car, suggestiongs.?

Im 15, going on 16. I've been looking for cars that have interested me and I found the Jeep Wrangler. I Loveee It! I would prolly be getting a 1990-1995. BUT, people tell me a lot of bad stuff about them and I've read up on the them , and that one after another things go wrong with it. So I didn't know if that was true or not. And do you think that it would be a decent car for a 16 year old. Oh yeah, as well, I don't plan to go offroading with it, or abusing it like that, I just like how its not a big car and things like the top come off. it seems like a nice first care, not too big and has a good look to it.

Ok first off ATABOY you got a good eye
the yj's are cheap to get easy to mod and give a good amount of respect that being said stay away from the automatic's and upgrade the breaks
Try to get one that has a 4.2 with a 5 speed(the shifter can stick sometimes but there is a cheap that you or someone can install to give a better feel in the throw)and go with a soft top(tinted if possible)it is a little more audible but it is a 5 minute job to drop and put up the top vs about a half a hour/getting another person and leaving the hard top somewhere

The small size is really nice especially in the city where you can go some places and park a lot easier then other cars

the 4.2 does have a couple grimlens but they arn't that hard to figure out
and if you can get one that has had a swap already installed like a 350 or something and a beefed 5 speed setup with a small 4 in lift(shouldn't be that hard)
