im looking fore a good digital camera to start in photography?

well ive bin interest in photography fore a i little bit but the only camera i have is a old film SLR conon and think its time to upgrade.ive bin looking at the conon powershot SX10 but its a little pricey.im just wondering if there mite be a good camera that i could bye that has variety without braking the bank.i know its still going to be expensive but even if i can save 50 buckes on a just as good camera that would nice.thanks fore yore help.
o and if u dont have enything good to say dont answer.i dont want to hear yore bitching
