I'm looking for this one book that I can't find any thing about them. Can you help me?

Ok I'm looking for this one book, but yea it is for my sister and it is about twins going through the rain forest and coming upon a flower that smells like rotting flesh. She says its a white paper back book with red lettering and it the title starts with a S, She also says that the kids parents are researchers and apparently the flower is causing a plague that's killing people.
 
The thing is, there really is a plant like that; it's called the corpse plant (or corpse flower).
To find the book, you could ask a librarian. She/he might happen to know what this is. BTW, a description of the cover won't be much help.
