so that when I look? ... in my rear-view (or either side-view) mirror I can see traffic coming as if I were standing from behind the car.
The problem is I am parked in a space at a right angle to a main road that I need to back-out onto. There are cars parked on both sides of mine so my side views are blocked and I have to inch-out blindly until I can get a side view of the traffic. I know I could back into the space but that's a difficulty on a very busy road.
I don't want a camera system ... just a simple mirror system.
