Its a romance about a woman whose husband beat her I think he was a cop and some how the mob ends up helping her out. she falls in love with this guy name joey and somehow she leaves but shes pregnant. years later he finds out and takes the child (or something like that). theres shooting and ganster drama in between.the main character joey has a brother named lucky. i think the womans name is rita and the little boys name is nicky.
