Im looking for a good project bike...?

alright,
i thought it would be fun to buy an older, beat up, cheap bike and fix it up.
i ride currently, but my bike's new, so i dont want to mess with it.

so i was looking for an older model of bike, preferably sport, that has a pretty good reputation as far as power and speed go,
so its actually worth fixing.

and it needs to be old enough that it would be cheap.

for instance,
like if the 93 hurricane was awesome.

i dont know that, but thats the kind of answers im lookin for.
